Bound Books, 2024
Bound Books are part of Dust Jackets, an ongoing body of work responding to the history of the Ethnic and Gender Studies Collections (EGSC) at University of California Santa Barbara’s Library.
Bound Books are library books bound with rubber bands recovered from UCSB’s former Ethnic and Gender Studies Collection staff offices. These specialty rubber bands are used by library workers for book repair. The library books correspond to the dust jackets I recovered from the same library offices and used in my Dust Jackets series of woven paper dust jackets.
